Bo-Peep Nursery

Jolly Phonics (Mondays and Thursdays)

We have a specialist Jolly Phonics teacher coming in on Monday and Thursday mornings to introduce this new scheme to Bo-Peep. She is a qualified Early Years and Primary Teacher with a passion for books and reading. The children will use a wide variety of fun and exciting materials (including songs and actions) to learn their sounds and in turn, reading and writing skills. They will become independent and confident readers who hopefully will share the teachers passion for books.  

 

French (Thursday)

On Thursdays, we offer French, taught by a visiting external French teacher. This allows the children to learn through fun and enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere. We encourage the children to participate in action songs. They learn colours, how to count, parts of the body, days of the week and various simple phrases. Throughout the session, there is emphasise on movement and on the children taking part.

 

Dinky Dancers (Monday)

On Mondays, Active Creative Group bring to you a programme combining an exciting mix of dance activities, P.E. and musical fun to develop children’s creativity and physicality. Each week, children are taken on a new adventure that they will love, physically exploring pre-school themes such as Amazing Animals, At The Circus and Up, Up and Away.

Basic movement actions will be introduced throughout the term through dance and action activities. Skills and movement actions are introduced in appropriate, achievable, fun stages. Action games using multi-sensory equipment completes the weekly fun. Our ‘Dinky Dancers’ learn through well-planned play, building creative and physical confidence.

We are confident that children really enjoy our mix of activities, fostering a life-long love of physical, creative movement.
